It's easy to participate
Registration begins at 8pm each Friday night at the MSC Info Desk at the foyer entrance by the breezeway. To participate in the activites, simply show us your TAMU student, faculty, or staff ID and we will sign you in for FREE and you will receive a wrist band. The wrist band will provide you access to free bowling, games, and food. Each student, faculty or staff member is also allowed to bring a guest.
On giveaway nights, be sure to listen up for announcements as to when, where and how to enter the drawing. Only registered TAMU students are allowed to enter.
Are you one of our usual suspects?
Each semester, Aggie Nights rewards our usual suspects by entering them into an exclusive drawing. We give out a huge reward to one of our most frequent participants each semester. How big you ask? Well, last semester one person walked away with a $200 Target gift certificate. Who knows what the next prize will be!
A little about our history
Aggie Nights began in Spring 2002 as a late night alcohol free program that provides students with weekend entertainment alternatives to local bars and nightclubs. The program provides a safe environment for students to meet others in an exciting atmosphere, building a sense of community on campus. Aggie Nights is a free program to all TAMU students (and one guest/student) that provides Aggies with weekend entertainment for FREE or at a reduced cost. It is hosted every Friday night during the fall and spring semesters in the MSC from 8pm – midnight.
Featured entertainment ranges from Blockbuster movies, karaoke nights, dance lessons and performances, and a Battle of the Bands competition to a simple night of bowling, billiards, games, and food. Aggie Nights offers co-programming opportunities with any student organization or TAMU department through an application process. This practice began to simplify the planning process and allow Aggie Nights staff the opportunity to better prepare for programs.
Currently, Aggie Nights offers at least one BIG night, which is typically the FIRST Friday of each month. Each big night will have a theme ranging from a simple “Welcome Back Party” to “Ladies’ Night.”
The basement area of the MSC allows students to bowl, play billiards, play Dance Dance Revolution, and get creative with arts and crafts for free. Aggie Nights also gives away door prizes that range from gift certificates of $25 - $100 to great items such as TVs, VCRs & DVDs.
Aggie Nights is coordinated through the MSC Student Programs Office in partnership with the Division of Student Affairs and supported by student services fees.
